I see that you’ve successfully started the transfer process. The next step is to log into your account and accept the transfer.
Here’s a direct link to your domain administration page:
https://88armyreservereunion.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
From here click “Edit Domain.”
In the popup window click the Transfer Domain option and then the “Accept Transfer” button.
That should take care of it. If you continue to have trouble let me know.

thanks Liz the Fair,
I just clicked the “accept Transfer” button. Crossing my fingers.
Do I need to do anything special to transfer the the Premium Theme? Or will it be part of the transfer automatically? -
It looks like the transfer went through, so you should be set there.
All the domain transfer does is moves your domain name to a new registrar. The content of your site and all of your upgrades stay where they were before. They are still accessible on your WordPress.com site, http://88armyreservereunion.wordpress.com/.

Actually I am having BlueHost move my website to a self hosted server. I need to use a plugin on my website and cannot do that at WordPress.com, it needs to be WordPress.org Not sure if Bluehost will move the content before Monday. I still want to use WordPress for my content management but it needs to be the .org so I can add the WordPress PayPal Shopping Cart Plugin. I guess I will check with BlueHost on Monday to see if the Premium Theme made it in the transfer. Do I need to do something at WordPress to have access through WordPress.org for my content management? I guess I am confused between the domain transfer and the self hosting of my content. Two different things happening at the same time. Not sure I am using the right words here. The one other issue is migrating the subscribers… not sure if that applies to my site. I have “followers” are they considered subscribers? BlueHost had a note that WordPress would need to move any subscribers.

The theme you are using on your current WordPress.com site (ryu) is a free, not premium theme. That having been said, it is also available for self hosted WordPress sites (that’s what you’ll have with BlueHost). The theme doesn’t transfer exactly, but you can add the same theme to your new site and the final result will be about the same.

You don’t. It sounds like BlueHost is setting up your new site for you and transferring your content. The WordPress.org software you need to run your site will all be there when your new site is up and running.

No problem, it’s a very common point of confusion. The two actions do happen at the same time, but they are independent steps.

We can help you with this. This is one of the very last steps though. Once your new site is up and running, the domain has been transferred and everything is working the way you want it, the final step is to move your subscribers.
