will an old username be free after deleting an old blog?
-
I have two blogs linked to my e-mail addy (email visible only to moderators and staff). The primary blog is http://floyabueskyttere.wordpress.com/. I need to move the secondary blog on this account, http://wooddragon.wordpress.com/, to a different WordPress account, http://livelin.wordpress.com, which is linked to my addy (email visible only to moderators and staff). I have exported and imported Wood Dragon into the primary blog on the new account, and was planning on deleting the old secondary blog. But then I got worried about the username. Will the username Wood Dragon be available again if I delete the old blog? Cus I was aiming at adding a secondary blog to the new account, and then name it Wood Dragon before I import the data from the new primary blog, then setting the new Wood Dragon to primary.
Gee this was perhaps a lot of mishmash, sure hope you understand what I mean!

No. Don’t delete the blog. Deleting the blog will delete the blog, oddly enough.

I read all that of course, prior to asking. I’m not quite sure we understand each other though. Are you saying that, if I delete the Wood Dragon blog linked to (email visible only to moderators and staff), the user name Wood Dragon will be dead forever and I can’t create a secondary blog linked to (email visible only to moderators and staff), with that user name?

You can create as many blogs from any username as you like, but deleting an existing blog means that not only are the contents gone, but that unique URL can NEVER be used again. Not by you, not by anyone. Ever.
