  I followed the directions given for adding a contact form, but nothing shows up. I want a “page” that read contact me, not a post. What might be my problem?

  http://stoutstandards.wordpress.com/contact-me/
  So your problem isn’t the page or the contact form, your problem is that there’s no link to that page in your top menu. This means you’re using a custom menu: you need to go to Appearance > Menus and update the menu manually.

  Dense? I wouldn’t say so: many users forget that they’re using a custom menu if they don’t modify it often.
  You can go to Appearance > Menus, check the option “Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu”, click Save Menu.

  By the way, you should disable commenting on the contact page (Pages > All Pages: click Quick Edit under the page title, uncheck the option “Allow Comments”, click Update).
