Will cancelling my wordpress.com site cause me to lose my domain name?

    I’m on wordpress.org, and for some reason, also have a wordpress.com account. I’m going to cancel my wordpress.com account but want to make sure I don’t lose my domain name. Someone please confirm.

    WP.com: Unknown
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    I don’t recall opening a wordpress.com account. I’m currently building my site on wordpress.org, and that’s where I want to be. I trust this will not cause me to lose my domain name, hereonthe.net

    Hi there,

    Your site hereonthe.net is connected to WordPress.com via the Jetpack plugin. So, though your site’s content will remain intact, any features from Jetpack that you are using for your site will be deactivated once you shut down your WordPress.com account. Do you know if there are any Jetpack features that you are currently relying on for your site?
