  will changing my blog address lose my posts and stats – I do not want to lose the work I’ve done, but would quite like to change the address – I have changed the blog since I originally set it up and want the address to reflect the blog title.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi! No, changing your blog address doesn’t mean you have to lose your posts.

  First, follow this guide –

  If you want to keep the web traffic that comes to your old blog address (from your pages/posts that are ranked in search engines, for example), you will need to purchase and use a Site Redirect –

  Redirect a WordPress.com Site Address

  (Be sure NOT to delete your current blog address in step 7 if you want to do this.)

  Hi – thanks for your swift reply – much appreciated!

  Is it the same for the stats too?

  So if I simply change the address the posts and stats stay for the blog, and it just gives me a new URL? It is really important to me that I don’t lose the work that I did previously, have been happy with the wordpress.com site and intend to carry on using it in the future.
