Will changing my username effect access to my current blog?

  When I set up my first blog I used the project name. I now want to add a personal blog using my own name and would like to change my username accordingly. If I change my username and select create new blog (the first option in the option list), will I still have editorial access to me current blog (winnallmoorssoundwalk) and the new blog?

  Yep. If you change your username and create a new blog it won’t affect access to your old site. You’ll still be able to access that old site with your new username.
