Will changing Twitter Name affect follow us on Twitter" buttons??

  Hi

  My website has “Follow us in Twitter” buttons on several pages – see https://dlhg.org.uk/

  The button has a link to https://twitter.com/DorkingGroup?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

  The Twitter feed is currently called
  “Dorking Local History Group@DorkingGroup”
  …….. but I’m considering renaming it to
  “Surrey Local History@DorkingGroup”

  If I do this, will my Twitter follow button still work? OR would I have to make any changes?

  Hi there,

  As long as your Twitter handle, @DorkingGroup, that appears in the URL doesn’t change, the button should continue working. So as long as the link remains the same.

  But if the link you get from Twitter changes in any way, you’ll have to update each instance of it on your site as well.
