Will Creating a static home page delete my posts?

  Greetings all. I am new to the world of wordpress and have a question regarding static pages.
  I saw the video on how to create a separate home page that is static. I currently have several posts on what is now currently the home page, will these pages be deleted when I create a new page for the blog? Any guidance would very much be appreciated!

  Hi Lara. Not at all. All you’ll be doing is hiding the posts from your homepage and replacing them with a static page. For more information on placing a static front page:
