will domain mapping cause trouble with blog tab in existing website
-
If I map a new domain name to my current blog, will it disconnect the current tab I have from my website “www.balancedlivingproperties.com” to my blog? Or will the tab still open the blog without any technical adjustments?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
It will still open to the blog without any adjustments, because the old URL will always work as long as the blog stays at WP.com, but you might want to change the link to Newname.com or whatever just for consistency’s sake.

Is this the wordpress.com blog in question?
http://balanceaustin.wordpress.com/If so then you have a “Real Estate from the Heart” static page tab driving traffic to your website @ http://www.balancedlivingproperties.com
Is that the tab you are concerned about?

thank you…I was actually concerned that the BLOG tab from my website “balancedlivingproperties” would not take people to my blog if I mapped my domain name…

The transfer will be seamless. :) That’s why we are paying for domain mapping (temporary 302 redirect renewed annually) ie. to provide seamless transfer of readers from the root blog URLs to the domain URLs.
