will emailing post count for visits?

  If i choose to email everyone my blog will it count as a visited site? I will only do this weekly so is the best way to let peopleknow it’s ready is to email them seperately from my current gmail account and simply insert the wordpress url info?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes, if they happen to follow (click) the url you provide on those emails.

  If you email your friends and relatives that you have a new post on your blog, and then they click on your link in the email, those clicks will be counted as views. If folks on your email list don’t click to look at your blog, of course they will not be counted on your stats.

  is there a way they can subscribe to automatic postings without having to open a wordpress account. in essence, everytime i update it allerts them automaticaly ??

  If your blog is not marked as private (settings -> privacy settings -> I would like my blog to be visible only to users I choose) then anyone can read your blog.
