Will everything stay the same but the address if I change it?

It will take about 3 months for the content to be re-indexed and at that point, all else remaining equal the authority and pagerank the blog previously had will be restored. As the pagerank is only 1/10 now I would not be fretting about this at all. We cannot assist with any search engine issues.

You’re welcome. This is basically a non-issue thread as the relevant answers were already provided. One either chooses to register a domain name or not. if they do purchase one then they read and act on this http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/ and post a thread asking for Staff to move the stats. As for the search engine end of things we have zero control over that. -

Just to clarify though, those extra steps are just for “WordPress subscribers” — people who have just signed up through e-mail are completely unaffected by the move? These make up the bulk of my subscribers because most of them don’t have their own WordPress accounts.
