    Will I be able to reuse a username in the future?

    If you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old username will not be available for you or anyone else to use. If you just want to show your name differently please only change your Display Name.

    If you’re thinking of deleting your account you must know that WordPress.com accounts (=usernames) cannot be deleted for security reasons. If you want to leave WordPress.com you can just leave your account inactive. In the future, if you decide to use WordPress.com again you can simply login with that same username.
