Will I get emailed when the domain setup is complete?

  Hi I’m new to this, I just paid for my new domain for a blog I’m starting. It said in the reciept email that it would take up to 72 hours for the domain set up to be completed but I’m just worried as I can’t find any thing for the blog it if I click on ‘my site’ or in my profile? Is this usual or have I done something wrong ? Any help will be very much appriciated for my peace of mind!! Thank you

  What is the URL of the domain please?
  What is the URL of the underlying .wordpress.com blog that you registered to map from to that domain URL please?

  It is ‘thesugarsnap.net’

  Congratulations! The nameservers appear to be set up correctly for thesugarsnap.net. thesugarsnap.net is set as the primary domain for thesugarsnapdotnet.wordpress.com and will appear in the address bar when you visit the site.

  It can take as long as 72 hours for DNS changes to become widely available. If you’re still not seeing your site loading at thesugarsnap.net, please wait a few more hours, clear your browser cache, http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies and try again.

  P.S. I don’t know if you will get an email or not. I do know that it is not unusual for the last place to flush their DNS caches to be your own ISP. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during this stage is to be patient.

  It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.

  There is nothing wrong with your site. By default the front page of the blog is the only page that will display all published posts on it. As soon as you publish a post not a page the front page error message and searchbox that appears on every new WordPress.COM blog will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
