Will I lose content when redirecting?
-
I have two registered dot.com domains through WP. All blog content is on the original domain (eddiesettles.com). I want to redirect this existing blog to the new domain (backinrivercity.com). Will I lose the content on my existing site (eddiesettles.com)? Is the upgrade purchase necessary to accomplish this redirect, since they are both WP accounts?
Blog url: http://eddiesettles.wordpress.com/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The two are separate sites, and redirection only redirects visitors to the new site, it doesn’t transfer content.
To transfer your content, you’ll need to export/import it via the Tools section of the blogs’ Dashboards.

Thank you. I did the import/export, now I need to redirect. I think this falls under Mapping an Existing Domain, but I don’t understand the instructions. WordPress is my registrar, which is not listed. Where do I go to change the domain’s servers?

I also tried to go through Store /Domains to add domain to a blog, and was told that the domains are already mapped to one another. However, there is no redirect, so I am baffled.

What you want to do here is add a Site Redirect upgrade on the blog you wish to direct elsewhere.

Thank you. That was easy! But three intelligent people, one with a computer science degree, have tried to figure this out for a week. Glad you are watching over the forum!
