Will I lose followers if I change my blog address?

  If I change my blog address and transfer all posts’ traffic etc, what will happen with my followers? Will I lose them or what?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you are setting up a new WordPress.com site, staff can transfer your followers for you.

  rootjosh, I understood that only happened if they purchased the redirect workaround. Do you mean that every time someone changes a URL they lose all their followers unless they get special staff assistance?

  If you are just changing your blog URL via purchasing a Custom Domain or by changing your _____.wordpress.com URL, then no subscriber transfer is needed. Your subscribers will remain following your site with the new URL.

  If you are setting up a brand new WordPress.com site with a new URL, and then transferring all of your old site’s content into the new site, then yes you will need staff assistance to transfer your subscribers to the new site.
