Will mapping a domain make it so that sub pages can't be seen in the address bar

  If I map a domain to my wordpress site, will it show the sub pages in the address bar? I want to map my domain name that I already own onto my wordpress site. If I do this, will it make it so that every page of my site just shows the domain name I mapped? For example on the “about” page of my site will it show:

  domain.com or
  domain.com/about

  Hi there!

  If you map an outside domain to your WordPress.com site, your visitors will see the complete address (including pages name/slug) in their address bars.

  For example on the “about” page of my site will it show:
  domain.com or
  domain.com/about

  They will see domain.com/about.
