Will moving my wp blog to subdomain of my website hurt SEO of my wp blog pages?

  My wordpress blog is showing up for important terms on Google right now. Will I lose my ranking positions if I map my jamesspringandwire.wordpress.com blog to the subdomain of my http://www.jamesspring.com website. So my wordpress pages would show up as blog.jamesspring.com?

  More than likely, yes. Your search results are linked to your URLs. Changing the domain changes the URLs and therefore creates a new site as far as Google is concerned.

  However, if you have good quality content, I’m sure it won’t take long to recover your ranking.
