Will my blog still work if I don't renew my Premium subscription?

    My Premium subscription is up for renewal in four days but I wont be needing my wordpress blog in about a month because my new website will be built. What options are there for renewal that are not as expensive or long term as renewing my Premium subscription for a full 12 months?

    Hi there,

    Your domain and Premium Plan only expires on 22 October, so you’re still good for another month.

    If you let Premium expire, your site will still exist, but it will lose any custom CSS you might have added and you won’t be able to add audio or video files, or new media if you’re past the free 3GB storage already.

    If you still want to use your domain with your new website you will need to renew that, though, or transfer it to a different registrar. Your WordPress.com site will still exist at the original free address, but if you want to keep using the domain you need to renew it as letting it expire will mean you stop owning it. If you want to renew your domain but not Premium, let me know and I can unlink the two for you.
