Both links will work, the base URL of the original blog will always work – after domain mapping visitors will see the mapped domain name in the browser and will be sent automatically to the original Post while the new name shows in the browser address bar
Sort of like magic – same house – just different name on the front

Domain mapping won’t change anything on your current blog. Your current blog is the same as always. Think of domain mapping like putting on a name tag. You are still you. You will still be hosted on wp.com, but you put on a name tag saying you are called by a “nickname.”
Or think of domain mapping as a street sign directing folks to your house. Usually people see your house at “123 street.” Domain mapping is a sign, so before people see your house “123 street,” they see the big sign saying “my great place.”
The way you stated your question is confusing, but I think this answers your question.
Without being coy: http://offusualsick.wordpress.com/ can become http://offusualsick.com/ and all of the links in your site will match the mapped name.
