Will my site remain the same if I transfer from .org to .com?

I would like to move my site from .org to .com but would like to know before I do if it will come over exactly as is, or if I will have to choose a new theme/template for it, in which case I will stay self hosted. Is there any way to find that out?
I asked this question before, and saw a pop up that someone had responded, but have never been able to find the response, here, in my site or emails so if there is a trick to finding the answer maybe someone could tell me that too ;)

Hello. Typically the theme will not transfer because settings do not usually match up between .org and .com. You have to review your current theme to see if it is even available in .com, you can search for it at https://wordpress.com/themes/
