will not accept my email address

  I tried to update my email address today. It asked me multiple times to reset my password. It never seemed to accept my new email. Now I can get back into the account but again, the old email is there and it will not accept my new email address, saying that email is taken. I can’t change to another email address. How can I fix this problem.

  Hi,

  First n foremost clear your browser cache and cookies or open WordPress.com in an incognito window, then enter your new email address and click on forget password button, what message you are receiving. If it says account doesn’t exist that means your email address doesn’t change yet or you will receive a change password link in your mail inbox.

  If you correctly followed these steps https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/ then you will not face any issue.
