I get a message that says invalid state/province, please use a valid ISO 3166-2 identifier?
When I change my country to canada the state section does not change to province?

can someone please tell me what an ISO identifier is? Im having a hard time trying to create my own domain on wordpress checkout it will not accept my state, even though i live in Canada the option does not switch over?

Thanks! Our developers are working on getting this fixed.

In the meantime, for Alberta, you’ll want to enter ‘AB’.

The links that @ariwinokur posted are exactly where we check. :)

We do have a few countries that are non-ISO and those are hardcoded by us. So if you come across any thread where you can’t find an ISO code from those links, just modlook it and we can find the right one. :)

The only thing you have to change is to drop the “CA-” part of the code. That’s how @shawnajroberts got the AB code for you.

Yep! The ‘CA’ part is covered by the country input, so you just need the province’s code.
