We’re not able to update the blog. Began trying last week, and thought maybe
there was a temporary upgrade going on at WordPress. This is the first hitch we’ve encountered in two years of blogging.
Appreciate any ideas.

It’s a JavaScript error, but I’m not certain what’s causing it from the list you have provided above. Let’s try a few things and see if we can’t get this cleared up.
First, please clear your browser cache, then log out of WordPress.com, close your browser, and log back in to WordPress.com. Check to see if the problem persists.
Then, please double-check for us that you are able to reach the following URLs:
http://s0.wp.com
http://s1.wp.com
http://s2.wp.comIf you are not able to load some pieces of JavaScript, the WordPress.com site may not function as intended. Please run through these checks and let us know what you find.
Thanks!

Hello,
Cleared cache last week, and it didn’t seem to help.
Nor does logging out and back in help. The first link you provided above worked well, but the
second and third say they are blocked.Ben

@merpower
Cleared the cache last week?! I clear mine every time I close my browser. If I didn’t then I would be viewing cached copies. This is a standard drill all internet users do every time they experience these problems. Please underatke it now.1. Some issues that you encounter with your WordPress blog or account can be solved by changing your browser settings, refreshing the page, or clearing the browser cache and cookies. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/ The instructions for specific browsers are found here > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
2. Some issues can be resolved by upgrading your browser.
3. Some issues can be resolved by using another browser.
4. Some issues can be caused by not updating your Flash. You can use this link to see if your flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not then go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and download and install the latest version of flash.
5. Some issues can arise from the way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. There may be problems with your web host. Check known issues with your ISP and with your web host.
6. Sometimes operating system and/or security system updates can cause issues. Check for known issues.
If none of the above work for you then please file a support ticket with Staff using this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
