will old BlogA readers be redirected to new BlogB?

    I am unhappy with my blog name, bloga.wordpress.com. i have created blogb.wordpress.com. I am going to export and import the blog contents from old to new.

    Will my readers be automatically redirected to new blog url? if so, how will they know that i have a new blog url?

    will i lose readers because of this? maybe it’s not worth it. what have others done to save readership?

    Post your blog B URL in blog A so your readers know your new blog URL leave blog A up for a while so your readers know you moved to a different URL name

    Yes, you will lose readers. You’ll lose quite a lot of readers.

    Why not just change the display name? That won’t change the URL of the blog, but you will be able to call it Blog C or whatever you want. You could also purchase the domain name upgrade and call it Blog C.com or whatever.
