will removing a user from wp.com site notify them in any way?

  can i be 100% sure that if i remove a user (with admin role) from a site they won’t get to know it unless of course they try to log into the site?

  it’s on another account and sorry i can’t give you the address. but it was registered by my user, the user i would remove that other user with.

  with “by my user” i mean another user account i have, not this one i’m posting from. sorry for all the posts but it seems i can’t edit existing posts.

  This is wordpress.COM support. I’m asking for the URL because we cannot accurately answer questions posted here until we have confirmed the URL referred to and verified the hosting. The answers for wordpress.ORG installs are not the same as they are for wordpress.COM blogs.

  Okay then. If the site is a wordpress.com hosted site then I believe removing a user will not result in them being notified of the removal.

  yeah, i actually already tried to test this with a dummy site and users and indeed it doesn’t notify the user, but just asking for confirmation just in case there’s any special cases i haven’t thought of.

  I can confirm a user is not notified by email when they’re removed as an Administrator, or any other user role, on a site. However they’ll know when they try to access the site again.
