will simply cancelling mapping put everything back as it was?

  Hi,
  I have a domain name registered with a hosting company and paid for mapping to my wordpress blog thro wordpress. As the process was happening a warning came up that there was a problem with the dns which may make the site inaccessible. I seem to have enough problems with my hosting or they are my own lack of knowledge problems, it’s hard to tell. Either way I don’t know if the dns problem is a wordpress issue or a problem with the hosting company but now nothing works on either the wordpress address or the .co.uk address which had simply stopped working for some reason unknown to me. My question is if I cancel the mapping will my wordpress address reappear? I know this doesn’t exactly solve my problems but I least I’ll have something showing. Thanks,

  Hi there!

  It looks like you got everything sorted out! DNS and domain changes usually take several hours to fully take effect (and theoretically can take up to 72 hours).
