Will the new SWELL theme work with FREE plan

    Hi

    Just seen the new SWELL theme an really like it!

    I assume that background videos (home section) will work out of the box without big hassle. That’s what I most like on this template + the flow.

    So I’m currently a FREE user but planning to upgrade to Premium, mainly because I don’t want any advertising. It’s seems that this template is available for FREE once you upgrade to PREMIUM. Current offer is 80 Euro/year vs Template alone costing almost as much => no brainer.

    I assume that in case I pay this, I will have this template + the additional features available on all my sites (I run 2 sites with dedicated domains).
    Also, will I have the rights to use this template even if I decide to revert back to a FREE plan after one year?

    Sorry, lot’s of questions. Couldn’t find this information anywhere.

    Hi Christian, glad you like the look of Swell!

    It’s seems that this template is available for FREE once you upgrade to PREMIUM.

    Unlimited premium themes are included with the WordPress.com Business plan, but not the Premium plan. You can see the difference between the two plans here:

    Premium themes can only be used on one site at a time. The WordPress.com Premium or Business plans must be purchased per site as well.

    Also, will I have the rights to use this template even if I decide to revert back to a FREE plan after one year?

    If you purchase the premium theme on its own, it is available for the lifetime of the site. You can also transfer it to another site on your account.

    If you get a premium theme through the WordPress.com Business plan and then decide to go back to the free plan, you will need to re-purchase the theme as a separate upgrade at that time.

    Thanks you so much for your fast reply. Think this answers pretty much all my questions.

    Silly that I purchased the personal domain separately as Premium seems to include that. Will you refund if I now upgrade to Premium?

    You can cancel and issue yourself a refund for the separate domain-mapping purchase if it’s under 30 days old. Just head to your dashboard under Store > My Upgrades.
