Will there ever be ads allowed on WordPress?

  I hears that WordPRess was considering allowing ads for an upgraded version. I am currently a WordPress user, but looking in to TypePad because they allow ads. Does anyone know if or when WordPress will allow them?

  Only staff could answer that question and I don’t believe at this time there is a timeline on this. Most of us in the forums here will only find out when they launch it, so any answers other than the ones from staff will only be speculation and I personally couldn’t hazard a guess :)
