Will you get rid of the boldface quotation mark in my new blog post today?
-
Why is the last quotation mark in my post title today boldface? I type it non-bold, and it continues to show in bold only. Very distracting to viewers, and nothing I’ve tried makes it non-bold. I never typed it in boldface to begin with–never use boldface in my titles–and have no idea why it suddenly insists on doing this. Please help?

Hi Nancy!
It looks like this is actually a bug within the theme that causes this issue when the quotation mark wraps around a number. I’ve alerted our theme developers and will let you know as soon as a fix is in place!

Oh wonderful, thank you so much, Jeremey. I do need to get rid of it as I anticipate more titles ending in numbers coming up.

Howdy Nancy,
Thanks for letting us know about this issue.
As a temporary fix, for any post titles that include quotes around numbers, you can use the following codes in place of the quotes to force them to display consistently (remove the space between the ampersand and the rest to make these work!):
& ldquo; - opening quote & rdquo; - closing quote
An example:
& ldquo;My Post Title 1234& rdquo;
I hope this helps!
Cheers,

Wow, that worked, and I don’t even know how to do that stuff! Thanks very much, Caroline. I still hope the bug will be squashed, but in the meantime I appreciate your instructions, complete with an example.
Nancy
