Wilson theme – featured image

  Are featured images supported anywhere on the Wilson theme? If not, where do I find a list of features that do and do not work in various themes?

  Not being able to have a featured image on a testimonial is extremely disappointing and not very kind to our volunteers.

  Hi,

  The Wilson theme is rather old (2011), which might in part account for some of its oddities. On Wilson the following rules apply regarding where featured images display :

  Featured images
  1. display on the blog page, but not on individual posts.
  2. display on the testimonial archive page, but not on individual testimonial pages.
  3. display on the portolio archive page, but on on individual project pages.
  4. display on other archives pages: date (year, month, day), category, tag, etc.
  5. do not display on static pages.

  Essentially, on Wilson, a featured image will display on all archive pages, including the blog page which is a type of archive page, and nowhere else.

  Thank you. I wish this information was more easily available as I’ve spent so much time building the site. Wilson is so simple, clean and easy to read.
