Windows Live Writer

  Hi everyone!

  I have been using Windows Live Writer since I started my photo blog some time ago and it worked fine (although quite slow) until a few days ago. I have been going through my older posts to reformat them and repost them and while I can access the post after I modify the picture when I try to repost it I get this error

  Error attempting to connect to blog at:

  https://lucianfilip.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php

  The operation has timed out

  I have gone through the settings in WLW but to no avail. If anyone has the same problem and they know of a solution I would very much appreciate the help.

  Could you try entering this URL instead?

  http://lucianfilip.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php

  (there is no ‘s’ after ‘http’)

  Hi,

  That’s the weird thing about it. I can’t change this in WLW. When I do the configuration, it pulls all the necessary info it needs then I am on my way. And so far it worked fine. Now it seems it needs a secure connection for some reason and I can’t change it. I don’t know why is doing that, as I said it started behaving like this a few days ago.
