Maybe help with another issue -my site is hosted – I backed up the entire database than tried to export it to a transfer file for import . . . much of the data is missing . . . any ideas on what to do /hank

Sure! Just to clarify, our exports do not include theme or software files. They’re purely your content and can be imported into another installation of the WordPress software, or many other blogging platforms. Can you tell me what data is missing?

My site that am replicating has the first piece written in 2010 . . there are about 4400 stories, 15,000 keywords and about 6000 pix.
Stories from mid-2013 down to September 2010 will download – all the pix and keywords download but the stories going forward to today from May 2013 will not download . . . . all data, authors, keywords and photos will download to the export file . . . all the stories will not when I click the “ALL” radial.
When I try to download by category, and specific time line, it won’t download either . . . one time the entire download consisted of only the authors data.
Any ideas Shawna? /hank/

It sounds like maybe your site has too many pieces for your browser to handle downloading. Can you tell me which site it is and I can give you a download link?

Unfortunately that site is not hosted here on WordPress.com so I can’t run an export on our end. It looks like you’re running WordPress, though, so the WordPress.org community might be able to help:
