Wishing for kid-friendly “themes”
-
I’ve just started a new blog called “Tales from the Kid in Me” in which I plan to write memories of my childhood hoping to make them into kid-friendly reading. I struggled to find any kid-friendly “themes” in your selections. Could you add one or two?
-
Maybe you’d prefer to use a preexisting theme, but upload a kid-friendly header. Some of the kids on WP.com have some of the most blinged-out blogs around.
-
You wouldn’t happen to have a few examples, raincoaster? Or is that not comme il faut for a moderator?

I’m not a moderator. But check some of the club penguin ones; the staff told me they are seriously impressive, some of them, because kids will try anything to see if it works. Consequently, they’ve got some cutting-edge blogs.
-
You have lost me. I’ve been blogging almost three weeks here, and I don’t know what you mean by “club penguin ones.” Can you offer a URL?
-
Sorry, not-moderator. :-D Then what should we call you fine people? Volunteers is so ….
eh
well a not-saying-anything-name…
-
“Volunteers” is a fine title.
Club Penguin is a game that is very kid-centric, and thousands of members have blogs here. Their blogs are either very, very dull or very, very tricked-out. I don’t actually read them, because I have a limited tolerance for ALL CAPS AND CHEATS AND TIPS but they are all over the Top Blogs list. To find some, why not do a search under the category Club Penguin? I don’t think that’s what you need though: a clean, bright theme like Cutline, Neat, Mistylook, or Pressrow would work nicely. Just pick a nice picture and upload it as a custom header and your blog will be very attractive.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’m looking for something like crayons, balloons, bubbles, jacks, kittens, or anything using primary colors. Another thing that I must keep in mind is that my kid years started before TV, and I lived in the country and then in a very small town. I’m already using Mistylook for another nostalgic blog for my family and cousins. I may have to check out the possibility of creating a custom header if I can figure out how to do it.
