Wishing for RSS Feeds for Private Blogs

  I’m disappointed to discover that it’s not possible to use RSS Feeds with Private WordPress Blogs.

  I’ve been able to subscribe to private RSS feeds in Blogger using Bloglines (it just requires that I enter my username and password along with the feed). Is there any way this could be implemented with WordPress?

  A quick look in the forum searchbox demonstrates this has been asked for however, any recent replies from staff have not been posted into the threads by bloggers receiving them https://en.forums.wordpress.com/search.php?q=private+blogs+rss+feeds

  Email updates are possible though http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/11/how-can-i-offer-email-updates/
