Wishing to redirect from one wp.com site to another wp.com site

  Hello, I have several wordpress.com sites and I’m thinking about combining two of my sites into one site. I tried this eight months ago and purchased site redirect. However after a period of six months this really didn’t work too well and so I cancelled site redirect. I want to try again but can you tell me how followers from one site can be imported to another wp.com site? I understand followers can be imported from a wordpress.com site to a self hosted wordpress.org site. I wish to know if this also applies to wp.com sites? Thanks

  Hi there!

  I can transfer the followers from one WordPress.com site to another WordPress.com site for you. Please confirm which site the followers are coming from and which site I should move them to, and once I can start it it doesn’t take long. :)

  This however, is separate from a site redirect. If I setup a site redirect from sitea.wordpress.com to redirect to siteb.wordpress.com — if I happen to visit sitea.wordpress.com it will always take me to siteb.wordpress.com instead.

  Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. I need to take my time and think awhile longer before I go ahead with any transfer of followers. However I have another question: When I purchase site redirect on one of my wordpress.com sites do I redirect that site to my other site wordpress url or the custom domain on siteb? So do I redirect from sitea.wordpress.com to redirect to siteb.wordpress.com or redirect from sitea.worpress.com to redirect to mycostumdomain.com at siteb?

  Best to use the desired final destination, so in your example you’d use the ‘mycostumdomain.com’ at siteb for redirect.
