With Personal plan, can’t preview different theme.
-
I have a Personal plan (to spare my reader the ads). I use the Colinear theme. There are two problems with Colinear which can’t be fixed. So I’d like to try different themes. But, on my plan, I can’t Preview a theme. I can only Activate (switch) it. I use HTML to design my blog. If I Activate a new theme, will my HTML be messed up? If I then (re)Activate Colinear, will my HTML be the same?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The ability to preview themes isn’t an option for older (classic) themes. However, you will find the option to Preview and Customize a newer theme before activating as outlined here: https://wordpress.com/support/themes/changing-themes/#preview-a-theme
In terms of the content on your site, if you have added HTML content via the editor on your site’s pages or posts, that content will be retained. See the following guide for more information: https://wordpress.com/support/themes/changing-themes/#what-happens-to-your-old-content
Because themes control the way your site displays, you can expect to see some visual changes to any content that you’ve added to your site, but the overall functionality should remain the same.
Note that you can always switch back to your previous theme after activating a new one if you aren’t happy with the change (as long as your previous theme isn’t a retired theme), so feel free to experiment!
