With white selected most of page is black..

  it seemed to happen after i signed up and paid to edit CSS

  the theme is hemmingway

  Could you explain more what you mean by “with white selected”? Also, what’s the address of your site.

  Finally, if you need to troubleshoot CSS (for example to understand the reason an element is black when you expected white), I highly recommend Firebug. There’s a 2-minute tour which shows why here:
