Wix domain is expiring and I want to transfer to wordpress

  My wix subsription is expiriing soon and I want to pay wordpress to host the name if that is possible. How do I do that? Do I just ‘map’ it like the instructions say? Mapping it seems like Wix is still the host. I don’t want to pay them any more. What do I do to have a new host and use wordpress on it?

  Hi kimwilhoyte,

  WordPress.com cannot accept incoming tansfers of existing domain names. You keep your domain at your current registrar and use your domain with your WordPress.com site as mentioned in this support page:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
