wodpress.com email addy taken?

I just tried signing up for this site, wordpress.com, in order to configure Akismet, but it told me my email address was already taken. I figured I just forgot my name/pass and had it sent to me, but it’s telling me the username is “g2-27810ecfbec7675587aa07856d58761a” and the pass is just as much gibberish.

How do I get that user/pass combo unassociated with my email address?

I believe you have to write staff. Send them a feedback or an email.

FAQs also have a solution. Well sort of:

    Can I change my username?

jwbridges, you should contact support ( http://wordpress.com/contact-support/ ), this is an issue which can be solved only from staff (normal forum users don’t have access to administration).

universalgeni, that is only a change of the display name, but not of the username which you use to login.

I realized that. I recommended that the blogger got in touch with staff and I also wrote the FAQs only had a “sort of solution”.

It’s cool. I understood what universalgeni was saying, and I appreciate both of your responses.
