Wondering how long previously taken domain will take to be released

  Hi so I got a domain name and a premium subscription but I realized WordPress.com wouldnt be good for what I was trying to do so I got the subscription cancelled and domain released in a previous conversation. I’m wondering how long it usually takes for said domain name to be available again. Thanks!

  Hi there, Generally speaking, if you intend on using a domain name you can point the domain to your new hosting although you registered it here on WordPressdotcom. https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/

  Howdy –

  It looks like you purchased and cancelled bluetreenevada.com on June 18th. Typically, a new domain will become available again after 5 days from the cancellation date.

  At that time you’ll be able to register the domain again somewhere else. The other option is that I can help you add the domain back to your account now, and you would redirect it through DNS changes to your new site.
