Blog randomly disconnected me from twitter (don’t know why my account is still there and fine) and refuses to reconnect. I’ve tried several times and it won’t let me so…what’s going on?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The Twitter connection in the Jetpack Social settings in Tools > Marketing > Connections is no longer supported. You can read more about why at https://wordpress.com/blog/2023/04/29/why-twitter-auto-sharing-is-coming-to-an-end/
However, you can still share your site on Twitter manually. This works best if you share a specific blog post or page like https://naudyvalentine.com/2023/05/17/the-ring-2002-horror-or-tragedy/
To share on Twitter you can start a new message and then paste in the URL. Twitter will convert it into an embed automatically. You can also do this in combination with a tweet, so you can tweet your message and paste the URL into your reply. As long as it fits within the character count your message will appear with the embed in a single Tweet.
We also list a few other options for integrating WordPress.com and Twitter at https://wordpress.com/support/twitter/

I already know how to share manually but my posts are on a schedule I want the links to post when the blog posts and not have to do it myself every time so that’s not helpful and the change is stupid.

We carefully considered and evaluated this change, but ultimately, it was not entirely under our control. Twitter informed us about significant alterations to the terms and pricing of their API (which used to be free and what powers the auto-sharing), which prompted us to make some difficult decisions. The substantial cost increase would have required us to pass on a significant price hike to you, which we felt was not a viable option.
While there might be other plugins or services available that could enable you to continue auto-posting to Twitter, it’s important to note that Twitter’s API pricing is now quite expensive. Therefore, any service offering this functionality would no longer be available for free.
To do so here, you would need access to plugins, which is available on the Business plan.
Thank you for your understanding.
