Won’t import from Tumblr

Hi, I have a Tumblr blog with almost 10k posts. I ran the import for Tumblr and let it sit for three full hours. Nothing at all was imported. I followed all the instructions, ‘allowed access’, and do not have a custom domain for tumblr. Online guides say something about filling out a form with access/authorization codes but that never showed up for me. Please help. Thanks.

I’ve reset the Tumblr importer for your site so you can try again.
If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted.
If the new import doesn’t complete within 24 hours, please let us know.

Hi, thank you. I tried again, let it run 24 hours. It has been stuck on 4992 / 9794 posts since last night. I understand you’re pretty backlogged with Tumblr imports now, but is this sudden pause normal? I started the import yesterday morning (12/4), came home from work and it was at 4992, and now I’m home from work on 12/5 and it is still stuck at 4992. Thank you!

Those first posts were from the original import you’d tried – it looks like it did try to run eventually after I’d reset it and you restarted, but it didn’t import everything.
Your new import is queued now, so it hasn’t run yet. The backlog is pretty big, so for now our best option is just to wait for the importer to catch up. Once it reaches your site in the queue it should import the remainder of the posts. Posts already imported should be skipped so they’re not duplicated.
