Won’t let me change email!

  I’m trying to change my gravatar image for my associated websites. Even though I changed the image on my gravatar account, it still appears as my old one when I open this page https://gravatar.com/flappersthealmighty
  Yet when I open my account settings, it’s the new one.

  I need to change the email associated with my gravatar for it to work on the other sites, but when I try it says that ‘this email is already associated with an account’ – I can log in using my new email, but any time I try to follow the steps to get rid of my old email it just tells me that the new one is already being used! So then why is my old one the only one that displays? Why won’t it let me actually change it? Why can I log in using the new email at all if it has my old one is set as the only one connected? I’m losing my mind. What am I doing wrong?
