won’t let me get new blog

Add topic to favorites
I am trying to sign up for another wordpress blog and it keeps telling me that “Only lowercase letters and numbers allowed”
for user names. I am only using lowercase letters and no numbers, so why won’t it let me sign up?

Well, what is there – check Caps Lock, empty cached & cookies, try another browser?

This is what it looks like when I try to sign up for a new wordpress.com account:

Only lowercase letters and numbers allowed
(Must be at least 4 characters, letters and numbers only.)

I am using safari and haven’t had a problem with it before. I am not using Caps Lock, etc. It just won’t let me get past what I stated above.

Did you do as telly said and leave out the space? WordPress, and then entire web for that matter, won’t allow spaces in a URL.

Yes that worked. I did not know that was what telly meant by space. Thanks for being clear about the “space.”

I have repeatedly had the same problem, many times over. Tonight tried to register:

blogsthatbless

Nothing but lower case – no spaces – still, no deal. I have tried everything I know to do, help!
