Won't let me purchase premium theme?

I was trying to purchase the premium theme Vintage Kitchen today. At one point it let me get as far as typing in my paypal information, and it looked like I paid for it but it’s not showing up as purchased, either in wordpress or paypal. So I’m trying to purchase it again and I get the little “thinking” icon, that’s it.

(1) How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.

The internet (wifi on my laptop at home) shouldn’t be the problem, and I’m using Safari 5.1.6. It looks like it’s on WordPress’s end. If I click on the theme to preview it and then click save and purchase, I’ll get the little thinking icon forever, nothing will happen. On any theme, not just the one I want (I tested).
However, if I go back to the page that lists all the themes, and then click purchase, it’ll take me to the purchase screen, all the way to paypal but then it doesn’t seem to finish the purchase… it jumps back to the theme choices, as if I never purchased anything.

Oh and then, when I go back to the theme that I tried to purchase, I get this error message: Your attempt to switch to this theme: “premium/vintage-kitchen” has failed.
and it acts as though I never bought it.

Would you please try a different browser, like Firefox or Chrome, and let us know if that makes any difference?

Solved the problem – I just paid by credit card instead of paypal. Not sure it was having issues with paypal though…
