Wont post my articles to facebook

  I enabled sharing on my articles so that they automatically got o my facebook and twitter but I do not see them on there. Please help.

  Hey Wolokj,

  This could be due to the fact that your site is private. However you could try some troubleshooting steps such as disconnecting and reconnecting Facebook. To find thas option go to My Site → Sharing in your dashboard.

  After connecting/reconnecting the service, you need to publish a new post to test if Publicize is reconnected.

  I also found a list of common reasons why a post failed to publicize

  • If you schedule a post, it will not be publicized until it is actually published.
  • Saving a post as a draft will not publicize it.
  • Static pages will not be publicized.
  • If you have trouble with your posts not being sent to a specific service, disconnecting/reconnecting will often help fix it. See the instructions above for how reconnect for each different Publicize service. After connecting/reconnecting the services, you need to publish a new post to test if Publicize is reconnected.

  @wolokj Publicize can only work if your site is Public and connected to the service. You can’t publicize or share sites that are marked Private.

  @ladysawen I fixed the formatting on your post to add the UL tags. If you have a formtting mishap in the future, please add the MODLOOK tag to the forum thread Tags section so we can fix it for you. :)

  You’re welcome, but it looks like I’m going to have to correct myself.

  Private sites can use Publicize to post to FB and Twitter, so my apologies to @wolokj.

  As @ladysawen suggested, try disconnecting and reconnecting to those services. If it still doesn’t work after disconnecting and reconnecting, please provide links to posts that you’ve published on your above private site that didn’t go out to your social networks and I’ll tag this for Staff to take a closer look.
