Yes, Sandy, tried from another browser; didn’t work. WP have already taken responsibility(see above) for it being likely to be a problem with a “retired” blog design, so I will leave it with them now; but thanks.:) I think, as often,they do not have the answer; but it would be nice to have my faith restored in Wp by getting an answer that works from the staff team:) That said, thanks to you; and I have , at least, gone back to square one, having resolved the white out problem and slow type entry speed issues, by removing the site off the compatability list. So no damage done!Thanks; I leave it to staff now:) Steve

I tried the demo site for dark Wood, from ur link, and I do not even get the print screen, never mind it printing what I highlight!
So, you’re highlighting a specific part of the post to print? What if you try to print the entire post without highlighting?
Have you tried switching to a different theme as timethief suggested? That way we’d be able to tell if it’s the theme or if it’s your blog that’s causing the problem.
For the record, I’m also unable to print your blog using IE but Firefox prints it without any problems.

Wow, this thread really blew up while I was away. :)
@decayetude – Sorry for the confusion. I merely meant that the act of retiring the theme should not have directly triggered your site to be unable to be printed. It’s possible that updates since the theme was retired may have triggered an issue though.
I’d love to help figure out why exactly this is happening, but it looks like you’ve probably already left the thread.
If you’re still around and want to help me see if we can get this fixed, could you please try printing without highlighting anything on the page? Our printing standards do a really good job of stripping all extra content, like sidebars, menus, and footers, from the printed document.
Additionally, I’d love to know if you still can’t print when your site is in a different theme. Afterwards, if you have trouble changing your theme back to Dark Word, I’m more than happy to revert that change for you.
