Won't Publish ?

  can’t publish, just started a new blog, it’s ready to rock n roll….but when I publish–nothing happens !
  I can see it in preview but won’t publish in either Firefox or Safari….thanks pk

  Hi there,

  I just took a look at your site and there doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with it. A few questions for you:

  Which editor were you using to try and publish? The original editor which you get to from the Dashboard >> Posts >> Add new or the new one from WordPress.com >> Add new?

  Is this happening on all browsers or just a single one?

  Are the browsers (or is the browser) up to date?

  What happens which you click submit? Is there an error message, and if so what does it say?

  Thanks so much for answering these questions! It will help figure out what is going wrong.

  I started out unwittingly using the dashboard editor (Safari) and nothing happened and kept running into the “get started” editor so I copied over
  to that using Firefox (I have had this issue before with firefox and moved so previously moved over to Safari and had no further issues, Since that time I have cleaned out my cookie cache and was not aware that issue persisted however I have been recently using Safari as my primary.

  Both Safari and Firefox and up to date, I have had other issues with the latest Firefox release (30) with my banking interface, etc so I have moved
  to Safari.

  When I click save preview it saves. When I click publish the button deepens in color and comes back. I do not get the “do you want to make
  changes”? thingamajig you get when you publish. So its balking for no
  apparent reason. Previous thought has gone toward cookie cache and I
  have efforted to straighten that out. But I’m not a nerd, just shopping.

  Hiya,

  I learned after I responded to you that we were having some problems with the newer post editor, that it was not publishing correctly for a short while. It should be working OK now however across all browsers.

  Let me know if you are still having issues with it!

  Hiya,

  Still a dead stick I fear ! Seems to be fine except it just won’t pull
  the trigger and publish. Why don’t you see if you can publish it and
  then that will show the issue lies somewhere in my browser setup…

  The blog I am having an issue with is (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  which is not visible at this time but the draft: A modest proposal on
  Immigration lies ready to publish!

  I am administrating this blog for a friend and eventually would like
  to add her as a user who can post, have the about page about her.
  So far the about is just pulling in my page since I am the creator.
  Sorry to be such a pain.

  I see what you’re talking about now! That is very strange. I have put this in front of some of our developers to see what exactly is going wrong here. As soon as I have some additional information for you I will let you know!

  Thank you very much for letting us use the draft post to help investigate the problem; it was super helpful. :)

  We’ve made progress with the problem. Please would you try publishing the draft? If that works, it would be reassuring if you could then create a new draft post as a test, and then try to publish that, as well.
