Won't redirect to Squarespace

  Hi –

  I’m trying to re-direct my website to a Squarespace site, and have followed the directions found here: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206542027

  However, when I get to step #5 (“Adding A records”) WordPress says “This record cannot be added, as it conflicts with an existing WordPress.com record.” I have had success in all of the steps leading up to this, so I’m not sure what’s going on.

  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  Hi there,

  In the list, there will be an A record already set for your domain, with the text “Handled by WordPress.com”.

  First you need to edit that, point it to the first IP address given by Squarespace. Once that is done, you can add more A records for other IPs. :)
