Hi there,
So that I can better assist you, would you please answer my question:
Do you have another self-hosted website setup with WooCommerce installed on it to use for your shop?
If so, what is the url of that site?

You cannot run woocommerce on any site that’s hosted by wordpress.COM. You can only run it on a wordpress.ORG install on paid hosting.
There is no secure payments system here at wordpress.COM and you cannot add a shopping cart to sites hosted by wordpress.COM.
E-commerce options have been removed here at WordPress.COM. Secure payment systems are not available here at wordpress.COM. You need a wordpress.ORG install. Please read this https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/e-commerce-22?replies=17#post-2575955
If you are referring to a self hosted wordpress.ORG site then you are posting to the wrong support forum and we cannot help you.
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.
(3) Jetpack support https://jetpack.me/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page. Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackHowever, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

If you are referring to http://skybarsite.wordpress.com/ and do not wish to move to a self-hosted wordpress.ORG site as described here https://move.wordpress.com/, provided you are selling only what you yourself make or a service that you personally provide on a wordpress.COM site you have two options.
(1) PayPal – Know that the only instructions that will work for posting a PayPal donation button on a WordPress.com blog are found here http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
Note that the PayPal email link is not supported and PayPal customization options are not supported either https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/paypal-button-41?replies=12#post-2517229 This is not likely to be changed any time soon, if at all.(2) If you set up an eCommerce site somewhere else online you can create a custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ and include a custom link to that site in it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links
Some bloggers create a contact form https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ on a page and after the people have made a PayPal donation they provide the link to a private page for downloading files. Maybe that will work for you.

I am using a .co.uk site. I have installed and built most of my woo commerce plug in to suit the site it is simply that my ‘shop’ button in my menu links to the products page which only has one product on it and then the user has to click this to enter the product itself page. This makes the website look unprofessional and therefore I would like for my shop button to link straight to my one product’s page.
I have tried creating a new page with my one product’s page URL and inserting this into the menu however this hasn’t worked.
Surely there must be a way of skipping over the ‘all products’ page to link straight to the single product page.
Many thanks

You’re welcome. Sounds like you need to go to your Shop page and roll over your product with your mouse (roll over the image or the linked product title) and copy the product url. It should look like this: http://mywebsite.co.uk/product/product-title/
Then use the custom link option on your WordPress.com menu to paste the it’s and give it a title.
If you give me the website where your store is I can help you find the url.
Best,
Cat

Since you were so helpful I wondered if I could pick your brains some more. I am currently using the Woocommerece storefront theme (I don’t know if your familiar with this theme) but the header is made up of two sections. One large section with a logo, buttons and search bar and one this navigation bar.
Do you know how to remove the large header section and keep the smaller navigation bar? I have seen on demo’s of Storefront pro that example sites don’t have the large bar but i’m unsure whether buying this will solve my problem or not.
Many thanks

I would love to help you further, however, as @timethief stated above, this support forum is only for WordPress.com sites.
Please refer to her post earlier in this thread for some helpful links to get the support you need for your self-hosted WordPress website.
